While big box retail stores can offer convenience and sometimes affordability for the average homeowner, as an interior designer we prefer to use our trusted trade sources to create your dream space.
There are three main reasons why we don’t source from big box stores when designing your home: Exclusivity, customer service, and quality.
1. Exclusivity:
We believe that your home should be a reflection of your individuality and taste, not a cookie-cutter collection of mass-produced items. Big box stores tend to carry products that are readily available to anyone, which means that your unique design vision may be compromised. Instead, we choose to work with thousands of vendors to create something completely custom for you.
2. Customer Service:
Our approach enables us to order directly from manufacturers, allowing us to go straight to the source for any questions or concerns that may arise.
We have dedicated account representatives who are there to assist designers in every possible way. This includes providing product samples to help you visualize the final result and offering educational guidance on various products so that you can say yes with confidence!
3. Quality:
Big box retailers often compete on price, which can lead to compromises in quality. When buying from such retailers, it’s challenging to figure out the origin and level of quality of a product. Items may come from various vendors, each with different standards and materials, making it difficult to ensure consistent quality across your purchases.
On the other hand, we prioritize quality above all else. We work closely with our carefully selected vendors to ensure that the products we offer meet the highest standards. We’ve developed relationships with these manufacturers and have the utmost confidence when recommending them.
We always want to provide our clients with the best possible experience and utilizing our trade vendors is one way we can ensure a smooth and efficient design process.
